Breakfast on Venus

"Breakfast on Venus" made with Prismacolor pencils.  This was super fun to make and I learned a lot about color. The only part that was torture was the colored paper beneath it.
I really like setting up still-lives and photographing them and then working on them a lot. It's fun.

This is a thing I made out of boredom.

Figure Drawing

I really am so lucky to have taken figure drawing classes before college. Drawing from a live model is one of my favorite things to do. It's important to know how to draw the figure before you can stylize it.

The RisD Bike

This is the bike drawing that got me into RisD. I called it 'Odalisque' because that's what some of those traditionally draped reclining women were called.

Never Before Seen!

That's right! Here are my favorite sketches from last year's sketchbook! Enjoy~
A still life I set up on my back porch.

Some stoner-type kid I made up.

Mr. Hyde riding a tricycle. Dr. Jekyll has a better name, but is boring.
A foot I was proud of.

Me, after Rover.

Design for Rover Night I never turned in...
Some things. And Flapjack.

I liked the banner.

A drawing of my boyfriend and I, lying in the grass in my back yard.
Doodle.

More Flapjack and the like.

Flava Flave.
My little brother.

An Ecuadorian or Bolivian woman? I can't remember.

Junior Year, personified.
Me stuffing my face.

My friend Kay and I "in the same boat."

More of me frolicking. Seems to have been a theme...
Mr. Hyde. Oh that fiend...

Hm. He's cute. Maybe I can make a comic about him.

RAWK.

...And the like

Hey guys!
I decided that, since I now have all my art computerized because of college, I would do a new post. That's a self-portait done in colored pencils.
In other important news, I've been accepted into RisD! :)
